Get ready to feel old, because apparently Space Jam was released 20 years ago.

Now, for a better feeling: Nostalgia. For the 20th anniversary of the movie’s release, Jordan Brand and Warner Bros. Studios released an 18-second teaser that makes us want Space Jam 2 so much more. Or, if Patrick Patterson could have his way, maybe we should just go watch the original again.

Either way, the teaser is the beginning of a much larger Jordan campaign that will center around the Monstars.

Along with the teaser, they released several art pieces focused on the Monstars, changed their Twitter name to Monstars and released some new Jordan Space Jam gear.

The VP and GM of categories for Jordan Brand gave some more details about the launch to USA Today:

“We’re really excited to actually tell this story about how the Monstars are coming back, and they’re coming back with a vengeance. They’re really pissed that they lost the game, and they’re here to wreak havoc on the game of basketball. Lots of propaganda going on and trying to have everyone to comply with this idea of their soulless game. This marketing campaign that’ll go global, the story’s really going to unfold around that, and then you’ll have to wait to see what happens on how this new basketballer that’s here today actually rises up to defy the odds of getting after the Monstars.”
